Boston Bruins to acquire top offensive defenseman? Unexpected turn
Should the Boston Bruins save Tony DeAngelos from his fate, and sign him? The defenseman could be headed to the KHL should no one offer him another shot.
He would be an affordable option for a 7D, should the Bruins ever need to rely upon him in a defensive role.
His previous cap hit with the Carolina Hurricanes was for a 1 year, $1.67 Million AAV.
DeAngelo has been in the headlines due to controversial incidents, from junior hockey to his confrontation with Alexandar Georgiev in New York.
While an Arizona Coyote, he was also suspended during the 2016-2017 season for verbally abusing official David Brisebois.
He was suspended in the OHL during the 2014 season by the Sarnia Sting for, fo violations of OHL league policy.
In 371 games split between the Carolina Hurricanes, Philadelphia Flyers, Arizona Coyotes, and the New York Rangers. Tony DeAngelo has scored 210 points( 48 G, 162 A) in his NHL career.
