Bo Horvat was acquired by the New York Islanders on January 30th from the Vancouver Canucks, and now, he's staying on the Island.
As the club announced they have agreed to terms with their new acquisition. As per Frank Seravalli of Daily Faceoff:
#isles announce an 8-year contract extension for Bo Horvat has been agreed to terms.
In his ninth NHL season (all with Vancouver), the 27-year-old has 31 goals and 23 assists in 49 games with the Canucks. According to JFresh on Twitter, the deal is eight-year, $64 million ($8 million AAV).
The Islanders will now have Mathew Barzal and Bo Horvat for the next eight years.
