New York Rangers trade goaltender to the Colorado Avalanche

The first trade of the 2022 NHL Entry Draft has officially happened!
The New York Rangers have traded goaltender Alexandar Georgiev to the Colorado Avalanche in exchange for a third-round and fifth-round selection in the 2022 NHL Draft and a third-round pick in the 2023 NHL Draft.
Georgiev recently requested a trade out of New York as he won't see much playing time with Vezina Trophy-winning goaltender Igor Shesterkin manning the pipes for years to come.
The 26-year-old had a 28-15-10 last season with a goals-against-average of 2.92, a save percentage of .898 and two shutouts.
This all but certainly means that Darcy Kuemper will officially hit the open market, as NHL insider Frank Seravalli has reported:
