Even though GM Pierre Dorion had one of the best off seasons in the entire league, it sounds like the club may decide to be conservative sellers from now until March 3rd.
According to Senators' reporter for TSN, Bruce Garrioch, things quickly picked up this morning between the Senators and Rangers regarding forward Tyler Motte:
It was recently confirmed by David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period, as well.
Motte, 27, has 3 goals and 6 assists in 38 games with the Senators this season. He's appeared in 307 career games with the Blackhawks, Blue Jackets, Canucks, and was a deadline pick up for the Rangers last season.
Motte signed a one-year, $1.35 million contract as a UFA this past summer.
