The Bruins have made a blockbuster deal!

Boston Bruins G.M. Don Sweeney has just concluded a MASSIVE transaction.

The Bruins just announced that they have acquired the left-handed defenseman they've been looking for!

The B's put an end to all speculation linking them to Arizona's Jakob Chychrun by instead acquiring Anaheim Ducks defenseman, Hampus Lindholm.

The Ducks will retain 50% of Lindholm's salary in the blockbuster deal. The Helsingborg, Sweden native was selected by Anaheim with the 6th overall pick of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.

As mentioned above, the Boston Bruins will receive:

D - Hampus Lindholm
D - Kodie Curran

While the Anaheim Ducks are set to receive:

D - Urho Vaakanainen
D - John Moore
2022 First Round Pick
2023 Second Round Pick
2024 Second Round Pick

The 28-year-old Lindholm has five goals and 17 assists for 22 points in 61 games this season. The 6-foot-4 and 216-pound d-man has appeared in 582 NHL games with Anaheim, totaling 57 goals and 165 assists for 222 points. Despite playing on subpar Ducks teams, he has maintained a career +/- ratio of +74.
