Boston Bruins goaltender was forced to leave Thursday's game against the Ottawa Senators after the first period.
Linus Ullmark stopped all 8 shots he faced in the first period, including this gem on Artem Zub:
Ullmark was hit in the mask early in the first by a slap shot from Senators defenseman Erik Brannstrom and seemed to be shaken up.
After the play, Ullmark was at the bench speaking to Bruins assistant trainer Joe Robinson for some time. Jeremy Swayman came in for the second period and allowed 3 goals on 16 shots, while Ullmark didn't even return to the bench.
The Bruins now trail 3-2 after two periods.
Hopefully, it was just precautionary, and a concussion spotter suggested that he sit out the rest of the game. If Ullmark is out for an extended amount of time, it will make it the fifth time in six games that Boston will lose a player to injury.
