Can Jonathan Quick handle the pressure with Los Angeles Kings?
Cal Petersen was just placed on waivers by the Los Angeles Kings after allowing 4 goals on 16 shots in their 9-8 lost against the Seattle Kraken last Tuesday.
Petersen was immensely helpful in getting the Los Angeles Kings to the playoff last year with 35 games played and posting a 20-14-2 record with an .895 save percentage and 2.89 goals-against average.
The decision's maybe understandable considering his record this year. Along with an unimpressive .868% save percentage 3.75 goals allowed per game.
However considering the amount of games Petersen played adequately as a back up goalie last season this may be a consequential decision that may put too much of a burden on starting Los Angeles Kings goaltender Jonathan Quick.
