Martin St-Louis came to the Montreal Canadiens, developed solid relationships with the players, and salvaged the seasons of rookie Cole Caufield and top forward Nick Suzuki.
The Canadiens are likely entering a rebuild, and a new coach with fresh ideas and experience in the NHL like St-Louis makes total sense. Early this morning, the Montreal Canadiens officially announced a three-year contract for Martin St-Louis as the 32nd head coach in franchise history.
