Whether you enjoy Tom Wilson or despise him, this piece is for you! Wilson and the Washington Capitals are playing host to the Ottawa Senators on Sunday afternoon and the second period was home to an absolute crime scene involving Wilson, but not in the way that one might think. Rather than Wilson crossing a line, this time he didn't cross the line... or rather the puck didn't.

During the second period of Sunday's Caps/Sens meeting, Wilson came streaking in along the right side and received an absolutely spectacular pass from center Evgeny Kuznetsov right on the tape, and snapped it home. At least he thought he snapped it home. Wilson proceeded to skate around the back of the net and celebrated the goal until he realized that it never actually went in.

Forsberg's save on this play was miraculous. He appeared to be down and out of the play and did not have much time to react to Wilson's shot, which is why the big winger assumed the puck had gone in. However, a solid lateral push across his crease and an outreached glove took one away from Wilson.

Hat's off to Forsberg, man. That was a sensational stop to preserve the one-goal lead.
