The Boston Bruins' season has officially ended and while the team had a great season and playoff push, it's unfortunately been overshadowed by Brad Marchand's actions.

Marchand has always been effective as one of the league's best pests and it's why Bruins' fans love him, however his licking actions have garnered negative attention.

The B's forward had two assists in the team's last three games, failing to annoy his opponents in the best way possible, helping the Bruins on the scoreboard.

Head coach Bruce Cassidy had a conversation with Marchand recently that he hopes he takes into next season.

"I saw the directive from the league," Cassidy told reporters prior to Sunday's Game 5. "I talked to Marchy about it (and said), 'That's what the league's asked for and we need you on the ice, we need you playing.' So zip it, or whatever term you used."

"If part of his MO is to annoy people, find another way to do it," Cassidy said. "That's basically what's in front of him now. ... Preferably by scoring some goals, that would be the best way probably."
