A convicted felon, who was also a former NHL Draft Pick, has signed another professional hockey contract.

It was announced that Ben Johnson has signed a one-year deal with HK Dukla Michalovce.

Michalovce play in the Slovak Extraliga league which is some high end hockey and one of the top leagues in Slovakia.

Ben Johnson had the potential to have a career in the NHL, as he was drafted in the third-round by the New Jersey Devils in 2012, and would end up signing his entry leave deal with the Devils, but some dumb decisions lead to him having his contract terminated.

Not only did he have his contract terminated, but he would receive a three-year sentence in prison for his crimes.

Johnson would appear in court where he would be found guilty of two counts of r*pe and sexual assault. These incidents took place in the restrooms of two different bars.

The first woman was a 20-year old who Johnson coerced her into engaging in s*xual activity. The second woman was a 16-year old girl, and Johnson coerced her into having s*x with him before r*ping her.

There is no room for this in the hockey community, what he has done is disgusting and he should never be able to play professional hockey again, but talent outweighs his reputation, and now he will play pro hockey and make a living off of it.
