It's definitely not the type of play that any hockey fan likes to see.
While the contact didn't appear to be that impactful, it seems like Nashville Predators forward Matt Duchene caught Toronto Maple Leafs forward Ondrej Kase in the right spot on their latest hit.
Was it an unfortunate or dirty hit? You be the judge.
Kase, who spent parts of the 2019-20 and 2020-21 campaigns with the Bruins, suited up in just nine games for the B's over those two regular seasons. His missed time was directly related to post-concussion issues.
After such a long rest, the 26-year-old Kase returned to the NHL this year and suited up for 50 games with the Leafs so far.
However, his latest injury could have him on the shelf for an extensive period of time. Since joining the NHL in 2017, the Czech-born forward has missed games due to injury on 16 different occasions.
