Froden draws into the lineup, will look to showcase his elite skills

With Curtis Lazar sustaining an injury in the Bruins win over the Kraken on Thursday, Bruce Cassidy was tasked with finding a replacement for the veteran forward.
The Bruins announced earlier Jesper Froden will be sliding into the right wing spot on the fourth line. It will the second game of Froden's NHL career, the Swede getting a last minute call-up to face the Islanders on December 16 when Covid-19 was affecting a large part of the Bruins roster.

Froden currently sits tied for second on the Providence Bruins with 27 points in 37 games played. The 27-year-old has been very consistent as of late with 13 points in his last 15 AHL games.
The Swedish Hockey League's 2020 Rookie of the Year was signed to a one-year contract in the off-season and will be looking to showcase some of his high end skill against San Jose in order to secure a spot with the big club.
Froden and the Bruins take on the Sharks tonight, with the initial puck drop scheduled for 10p.m. ET.
