Pastrnak and the Czechs battle Canada for a spot in the Gold Medal game

Boston Bruins forward David Pastrnak and Team Czechia faced off against Team Canada this afternoon, with an opportunity to advance to the Gold Medal game against Finland at the 2022 IIHF World Championship.
Former Bruin David Krejci got the Czech Republic on the board early with a powerplay goal to go up 1-0. Canada answered back with three unanswered goals in the second to go up 4-1 after two periods, outshooting the Czechs 27-18. The Canadians added two more in the third to make the final 6-1, outshooting Team Czechia 35 to 26.

Canada will move on to face Finland in the Gold Medal game tomorrow, while Pastrnak will match up against Jeremy Swayman and Team USA in the Bronze Medal Game.
