As we touched on in a recent article, the newly acquired Garnet Hathaway already has several ties to the Boston Bruins.
But perhaps the best one yet is his history with current Player Development Coach and former defenseman, Adam McQuaid. As the two have dropped the gloves on two separate occasions in their overlapping careers.
The first was during the 2017-18 season when the Bruins were visiting the Calgary Flames on February 19th, 2018:
McQuaid would get the edge with the takedown in this one.
The two would square off just over a year later on March 19th, 2019, when McQuaid was a member of the Columbus Blue Jackets. This one also occurred at the Saddledome in Calgary:
Quaider would get the win in this one too, however, it was a much better - and closer - fight.
He also had a little run in with Tuukka Rask back in the day! At least they'll have some stories they can laugh about together now.
