Has the worst been confirmed for Jake Debrusk?
On Tuesday, the Bruins forward was spotted in a walking boot at TD Garden, after his heroic two-goal third period in the Winter Classic. Followed by a late night update by Mark Allred that Boston recalled Chris Wagner from the AHL.
Now, Allred has reported the potential extent of DeBrusk's injury:
Hearing #NHLBruins� forward Jake DeBrusk has a lower-body injury (fracture) and official news from the team could either be today or tomorrow.
The 26-year-old is on pace for a career-year with 16 goals and 14 assists in 36 games this season.
