The Toronto Maple Leafs announced some terrible news regarding defenseman Jake Muzzin early today.
The veteran of 679 NHL games may have played his last.
As per Leafs PR:
''D Jake Muzzin is out indefinitely due to a cervical spine injury. His status will be re-evaluated in late February.'
His re-evaluation in February will tell a lot more but an injury like this could be career-threatening.
Muzzin has only appeared in four games this season, tallying one assist.
