The St. Louis Blues and Colorado Avalanche are in the midst of game three of their second-round matchup.

Blues' goaltender Jordan Binnington is back to his 2019 playoff form (sigh) and has been lights out in both games one and two. He was forced to leave game three in the first period with an injury and has not returned. Binnington had to leave after a heavy collision with Avalanche forward Nazem Kadri, and backup Ville Husso has come in relief.
Watch the incident here:
As Boston Bruins fans know, Nazem Kadri has had his fair share of supplemental discipline handed to him in the playoffs during his career. Kadri was first suspended for a cross-check to the face of Jake Debrusk in game two back in 2019. He also received a three-game suspension in a 2018 playoff matchup against the Bruins for a questionable playoff hit on Tommy Wingels.
Kadri was given an eight-game suspension for a hit to the head of Blues defenceman Justin Faulk in game two of their first-round series last season as well. It was his sixth suspension for a total of 16 playoff games and 11 regular-season games.
It's tough to tell if this was on purpose, though, as Kadri and the Blues defenseman got tangled up right in front of Binnington. However, it's also hard to not think it was intentional because of his history.
