Edmonton Oilers superstar Leon Draisaitl put his name in the NHL records books with his stellar performance in last night's game three against the Calgary Flames.

Draisaitl became the first player in NHL history to record four assists in a single playoff period by assisting on all four of the goals that the Oilers scored in the second frame. The German had the primary assist on Zach Hyman's opening goal 52 seconds into the period and on Evander Kane's 2-0 goal just under five minutes later. He also had the secondary assists on Kane's second and third of the night as Edmonton went up 4-0 in just thirteen minutes of the second period.
Even more impressive is that Draisaitl has been playing with a high ankle sprain since game six of the first round against the Los Angeles Kings, but he still has 19 points in 10 games these playoffs.
Draisaitl also joined teammate Connor McDavid who both extended their playoff point streak to six games, the longest by an Oilers player since a trio of skaters did so in the 2006 Stanley Cup Playoffs: Michael Peca (6 GP), Ryan Smyth (6 GP) and Shawn Horcoff (6 GP).
