The Bruins (47-25-5) are coming off a 4-0 shutout loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins on Thursday night so you know the B's will be eager to get back on track. As for the Rangers (51-21-6), they're riding a four-game win streak into today's original six matchup.
The Rangers enter this afternoon's affair as the favorites after winning both previous matchups against the Bruins this season (5-2 and 2-1).
The Bruins announced that goaltender Linus UIlmark would make his return back from an injury this weekend and he'll be serving as Jeremy Swayman's backup against the blue shirts.
Swayman (22-13-3) will have a tough task ahead of him as he makes his sixth straight start, the Bruins rookie netminder facing off against a red-hot Igor Shesterkin (37-11-4) for the Rangers.
The Bruins biggest news is the fact that they'll get two of their star players back against the Rangers. Forward David Pastrnak and defenseman Hampus Lindholm are both drawing back into the lineup after missing the past few weeks due to injury.
With no other last-minute roster changes expected, here are the Bruins projected lines and pairings for today:
Brad Marchand Patrice Bergeron Jake Debrusk
Taylor Hall Erik Haula David Pastrnak
Trent Frederic Charlie Coyle Craig Smith
Nick Foligno Tomas Nosek Curtis Lazar
Hampus Lindholm Charlie McAvoy
Matthew Grzelcyk Brandon Carlo
Derek Forbort Connor Clifton
Jeremy Swayman
Linus Ullmark
Puck drop between the Bruins and Rangers is scheduled for 3pm ET at Boston's TD Garden.
