Lines, roster updates and starting goaltenders for Bruins-Canes Game 1

The Boston Bruins and Carolina Hurricanes are ready to kick off their respective Stanley Cup runs tonight.

It will mark the third time in the last four years that both franchises have played each other in the playoffs. Unlike the past two occasions however, the Hurricanes are the ones with home ice advantage this time around.

Unless anything major happens during tonight's warmups, the Bruins should be rolling out the deep roster they've been trying to build to get to this exact moment.

Coach Bruce Cassidy confirmed that Linus Ullmark (26-10-2) was getting the start after the NHL's hottest goalie in April really came through for the club down the stretch.

He'll be facing off against Carolina's Anti Raanta (15-5-4) who's done a solid job filling in for injured started Frederik Andersen.
