The Montreal Canadiens and Chicago Blackhawks have announced they agreed to trade prospects Wednesday morning.
Nicolas Beaudin was originally selected in the first round (27th overall) by the Blackhawks in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft. After bouncing between the NHL and the AHL the past few seasons, the defenseman will be moving back to his home province of Quebec.
Cameron Hillis, a former third-round pick (66th overall) of the Canadiens, is a center prospect who has also bounced between the NHL and AHL. He most recently appeared in the ECHL with the Trois-Rivieres Lions, recording two goals in three games.
