Flames fans are not happy with the recent departure of Johnny Gaudreau.

In his introductory press conference with the Columbus Blue Jackets, Gaudreau basically said he just wanted to leave Calgary to be closer to home, and him leaving the Flames was a family decision.

However, people in Calgary aren't buying it, especially one news station in particular.

Anchor Andrew Brown of "CBC News Calgary" threw direct shade at Gaudreau for leaving and signing in Columbus.

It appears that "Johnny Hockey" is getting the same treatment that John Tavares got when he left the New York Islanders for his hometown Toronto Maple Leafs.

Flames reporter Eric Francis of Sportsnet also weighed in on the situation:

"They were willing to make him one of the highest paid players in the world, and he, in turn, turned around in the eleventh hour and, I think, stabbed them in the back."

Funny how media says things like this but then wonder why players leave.
