Controversial penalty leads to Hurricanes' powerplay goal

The Boston Bruins are down 2-0 after the first period of game five to the Carolina Hurricanes. Big thanks to a phantom call on defenseman Derek Forbort.

After Jeremy Swayman covered the puck, a scrum broke out between most of the players on the ice. As Forbort and Hurricanes' Max Domi were roughing each other up a bit, somehow, the Bruins' defenseman was somehow given the only penalty on the play.

Watch it for yourself and be the judge:

Both guys seem to get the same amount of shots to the other guy's face the way I see, and somehow, the ref only called Forbort for a roughing. Of course, the Hurricanes would score on the powerplay to make it 2-0, and the goal was scored by none other than Tony DeAngelo.

Almost like it was scripted.
