It's been a frustrating summer for Chicago Blackhawks superstar Patrick Kane.

The Chicago Blackhawks general manager Kyle Davidson has been trying to trade Kane, as well as Jonathan Toews but hasn't had much luck as of yet. Many fans have wondered where Kane can likely end up.

The rumours have had Kane linked to the Edmonton Oilers, Toronto Maple Leafs, New York Rangers, and even his hometown team, the Buffalo Sabres, where Kane has already expressed wanting to play before his career is over.

Hockey Insider Frank Seravalli mentioned what he's heard about Kane and his feelings towards the trade chatter while on the Daily Faceoff Rundown podcast with Jason Gregor.

As per Seravalli:

''That if he is going somewhere, that he would like to go at the deadline or sometime around then. So probably some time into 2023. Obviously, that can change, but I am told the teams that had at least preliminarily discussed or talked about the idea either internally or externally, what have you are the New York Rangers, the Edmonton Oilers, the Toronto Maple Leafs - I don't know, pick a team, like the Vegas Golden Knights, one that is always in the mix, has expressed some kind of interest. I wonder about a team like the Los Angeles Kings - like there are many teams that could fit, not salary cap wise, but a star like Patrick Kane in the mix.''

Despite Kane still being able to produce at a top-six role, if a trade eventually happens, the Blackhawks GM will also have to retain salary.
