Nazem Kadri still remains a free agent almost a full month after the start of Free Agency.
According to multiple reports Kadri and his agent still have their sights set on a contract that pays him north of $9 million per season.
New York Islanders GM Lou Lamoreillo has reportedly offered Kadri a contract over the past month.
According to NHL insider Frank Seravalli the contract Lamoreillo offered Kadri is significantly lower than his asking price.
A seven-year contract will take him to his age 39 season.
Seravalli also revealed that the Colorado Avalanche still have an offer on the table for Kadri to consider.
Obviously due to salary constraints, the Avalanche are unable to offer the same cap hit as the Islanders, but they're reportedly also unwilling to offer the same term.
''Seravalli says that Colorado has offered Kadri less term than everyone else. Something like 4 years times 6 million.'
There's money available on the free agent market for Kadri, but it will come down to what he sees as up a priority for himself.
