As per usual, the Edmonton Oilers are the next team to reveal what injuries their players were playing through during the Stanley Cup playoffs. Some of them seemed to be quite significant.
The most notable was Oilers star Leon Draisaitl and his high-ankle sprain, as he was visibly labouring after sustaining the injury in game six of the first round against the Los Angeles Kings. What's even more impressive is that since the injury, Draisaitl recorded 22 points in just 10 games and was clearly far from 100%.
It's not surprising to hear the injuries that NHL players play through during the playoffs, but it never gets old to see how much heart these guys have to play the best sport in the world.
