The Pittsburgh Penguins we're eliminated in overtime of game seven at the hands of the New York Rangers on Sunday evening.

The Penguins started the series with their backup Casey DeSmith who sustained an injury in the game one triple overtime marathon. Third string goalie Louis Domingue then played two of the overtime periods and games two to six.

Pittsburgh starter Tristan Jarry returned for game seven after breaking his foot late in the regular season. It was announced after tonight's loss that his broken foot was not fully healed but the goaltender toughed it out for the do-or-die playoff game. He played well too, allowing 4 goals on 30 shots in his first game since April 14th.

Jarry was seen after the game with his foot wrapped in ice and barely putting weight on his left foot.

Hockey players are truly a different breed, they'll play through anything until they physically can't anymore.

Kudos to Tristan Jarry!
