The Boston Bruins announced their roster for tonight's game at TD Garden, where the club hosts the New York Rangers at 7 pm EST.

It will be the Bruins' second preseason game after they dropped a 2-1 decision on the road against the Philadelphia Flyers Saturday evening. Like any other early exhibition matchup, the club is going with a mix of prospects, along with AHL and NHL regulars.

Here is the lineup for tonight's matchup:

FORWARDS:

Trent Frederic - Charlie Coyle - Craig Smith
AJ Greer - Jack Studnicka - Marc McLaughlin
Samuel Asselin - Georgi Merkulov - Oskar Steen
Luke Toporowski - Joona Koppanen - Justin Brazeau

DEFENSE:

Hampus Lindholm - Anton Stralman
Mike Reilly - Brandon Carlo
Michael Callahan - Connor Carrick

GOALTENDERS:

Jeremy Swayman
Kyle Keyser
Brandon Bussi

PLAYERS TO WATCH:

Poitras is the B's most recent top draft pick (54th overall in 2022) and will be playing his first preseason game with the club. It will be exciting to see what he can do against other pros.

Toporowski was very impressive at the 'Prospects Challenge' that took place recently in Buffalo. Invited to camp as an undrafted free agent, the 18-year-old might be the most intriguing prospect in the system (if he earns a contract).

This is a make-or-break season for Studnicka, who is looking to crack the NHL roster full-time for the first time in his career. He's been on the bubble for a couple of years, and earning his spot starts now.

Stralman is making his first appearance in game action since signing his PTO with the Bruins. The veteran will be paired with fellow Swede Lindholm on the top pairing, making them a must to keep an eye on.
