Many senior hockey players aim to prove themselves and have nothing to lose, frequently engaging in fights and sometimes resulting in full-scale brawls involving entire teams.

What Are They Trying to Prove?

A prime example occurred Saturday night during a Quebec Senior League game that spiralled out of control. It seems as though that both benches participated in an unforgettable brawl.

Kevin Crane-Desmarais of TVA Sports shared the footage on Twitter (translated from French), take a look:

Video - General fight in the middle of a league hockey match @_LHSAAAQ in Plessisville. The @sureteduquebec has been called. At the same location two weeks ago, there was a violent fight in the stands during a junior AA game. @tvanouvelles

Initially, it appears that the official's are attempting to prevent multiple fights from erupting, but as players start confronting each other from all directions, the situation devolves into complete pandemonium.

As mentioned in the tweet above, it got so bad that police were called in to intervene.
