The Boston Bruins made a big splash in the NHL trade market earlier today when they acquired Dmitry Orlov and Garnett Hathaway from the Washington Capitals.
However, according to Mark Allred of Black N' Gold Hockey, Don Sweeney and Co. may not be done making deals. As he expects two defensemen to be on their way out of Boston before the March 3rd Trade Deadline.
I'm hearing the #NHLBruins have another move in place with almost a week to go until the 2023 NHL Trade Deadline. Look for news coming out soon that both Boston defenseman Mike Reilly and Jakub Zboril have found new homes.
It's no surprise that Mike Reilly will be moved, as the Bruins have been looking to facilitate a trade for the defender who's been stuck in the AHL all season. Reilly's a guy that can fit into probably any team's top-six.
Zboril is another guy who has been the odd man out on an already-stacked Bruins team. After midseason knee surgery last year, the 26-year-old showed signs of a breakout throughout the start of this season.
Reports say to keep an eye on either Ivan Barbashev of the St. Louis Blues or Luke Schenn of the Vancouver Canucks. Per Conor Ryan of Boston.com, Sweeney also stated that he doesn't necessarily have to be aggressive.
