The Oilers are allegedly preparing to make a major decision regarding one of their former first rounders.
The Jesse Puljujarvi experiment in Edmonton appears to be coming to an end, as reports are that the 2016 fourth overall pick will be placed on waivers.
The 24 year old has been a healthy scratch on several occasions as of late, as GM Ken Holland has most likely been looking to find a trade partner. However, as the Oilers are getting healthy, a tough choice will have to be made.
Puljujarvi has appeared in 49 games this season, registering 4 goals and 6 assists. The winger carries a $3 million cap hit and is an RFA when it expires after this year.
If he is waived, and goes unclaimed, his trade value will actually go up for the Oilers, as he will be waived exempt for 30 days after.
