Sportsnet host breaks the silence after disappearing from 32 thoughts podcast
A Sportsnet host has officially broke the silence on why he disappeared.
Fans were starting to wonder where Jeff Marek went after he last appeared on the 32 thoughts podcast during the coverage of the first-round of the draft.
The opening day of free agency, Jeff Marek and Elliotte Friedman were supposed to do an episode covering everything that happened, but it never ended up happening and fans started to question what was going on with Marek.
YYZ Sports Media put out a report Thursday confirming that Jeff Marek will no longer be working with Sportsnet meaning The Jeff Marek Show will be coming to an end and he will no longer be on the 32 Thoughts podcast either.
Friday Marek confirmed everything in a statement he made on social media breaking the silence around what is going on.
"Firstly, thanks for the outpouring of kinds words on Twitter/X. It really means the world to me," said Marek.
"After 13 great years at Sportsnet, I'm moving on. It's been an incredible journey and I'm thankful to have worked alongside so many great people and played a role in bringing sports and hockey news to fans across Canada and the world. More to come soon."
A lot of fans have showed Marek love and support, during this time, although we have no idea what happened between Marek and Sportsnet, we wish him well on his next journey.
