After losing last game to the Wild, the Bruins had to find another replacement for Patrice Bergeron.

However, the new first-line center isn't quite who we expected.

With Erik Haula performing so well on the second line alongside Taylor Hall and David Pastrnak, Cassidy opted not to split that line up. The same goes for the third line, where Charlie Coyle has excelled between Craig Smith and Trent Frederic so far this season.

With the last remaining players available for top line duties usually playing on the fourth unit, Boston quickly had to find another alternative. Tomas Nosek gave it a go last game, but clearly isn't equipped to play such a huge role.

That's why, for tonight's matchup against the Jets, the Bruins will slot in recently called-up centreman Jack Studnicka between wingers Brad Marchand and Jake Debrusk.

Studnicka was called up ahead of the Bruins game against the Wild on Wednesday, but couldn't get to the Xcel Energy Center in time for puck drop.

The 23-year-old sits third on the Providence Bruins with 24 assists and 33 points this season. Studnicka has been on a little bit of a roll lately; he's picked up 14 of his points (3G-11A) over his last ten games.
