June 5th, 2013, Boston Bruins forward Gregory Campbell put together one of the best single efforts ever on a penalty kill during game three of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
There was around 8:00 minutes left in the second period of a 1-1 game when Campbell blocked an Evgeni Malkin shot and broke his leg. He would stay on the ice for over a minute before finally being able to hobble off on one leg.
What a shift. Re-watch it here:
The Bruins would go on to win on a Patrice Bergeron double-overtime game-winner and take a 3-0 series lead. The Bs would reach the 2013 Stanley Cup Final against the Chicago Blackhawks but would lose in six games.
