In a game between Canada and Switzerland, San Jose Sharks forward Timo Meier avoided punishment after a review of a dangerous hit on Vegas Golden Knights defenseman Zach Whitecloud.

Meier was called for a 5-minute boarding major at first, but after review, it was determined he would not receive a game misconduct.
