Former Bruin Milan Lucic gets ejected from Game 3 vs Oilers

The Battle of Alberta is in full force now!

The Oilers and Flames played game three last night at Rogers Place in Edmonton, with game one going to Calgary (9-6) and game two going to Edmonton (5-3).

After the first period was scoreless, the Oilers got way ahead with four goals in the second period. With the score still 4-0 halfway through the third period, Flames forward Milan Lucic decided to stir things up. He dumped it behind the Edmonton net, and when he knew Oilers goaltender Mike Smith was going to play the puck, he took his chance:

A huge scrum broke out after the play, of course, and Lucic was given a five-minute major and a game misconduct for charging. It wasn't the first time that Looch took out his frustration on the opposing goaltender:

It's not the first time Smith and Lucic have had bad blood, and oddly enough, it was back in 2018 when the two were on opposite sides of the Battle of Alberta:
