Tristan Jarry explains what happened with Marchand, but ends with a jab at Marchy
The Penguins beat the Bruins 4-2 last night, but the Penguins victory was overshadowed by the extracurricular between Tristan Jarry and Brad Marchand that ended the game. After the conclusion of the game all any media member wanted to talk about was what happened. When Jarry was asked many expected an answer that might reveal some details, but instead the net minder gave a very old school answer.
"I think it's just the heat of the moment, everyone's battling hard out there. He's just trying to get the puck to the net and I think the team did a great job. It's part of the game and it stays on the ice."
Jarry didn't leave it at that though as he chose to take a parting shot at Brad Marchand who was vocal about his All-Star Game snub by adding that he was able to stay sharp by:
"Having extra reps in the All-Star Game helped in a way so he didn't get rusty."
The Bruins and Penguins have two games remaining against each other on April 16th and April 21st, so it'll be interesting to see how this situation plays out.
