We got to see Auston Matthews score 60 goals, the first time an NHL player has reached that milestone since Steven Stamkos did it in the 2011-12 season.
Connor McDavid set a new personal record in goals, assists and points and led the league in points (again), and he's not even the favourite to win the Hart Trophy for MVP.
Eight different players reached the 100-point milestone. Just eight years ago, Jamie Benn won the Art Ross Trophy with 87 points in 2014-15. That would be good for a tie for 19th place this season.
Four players scored 50-plus goals this season as well. The most in the NHL since the 2005-06 season when there were five different players who reached the milestone.
Igor Shesterkin will probably finish top three in Hart Trophy votes, with a chance to even win it. A goaltender hasn't won the league MVP since Carey Price back in 2014-15.
Roman Josi reached 96 points as a defenseman and broke the Nashville Predators franchise points in a season. The most a defenseman has reached in the past ten NHL seasons was Brent Burns, with 83 points in 2018-19.
And to cap it off. Every Eastern Conference team to make playoffs had over 100 points. The first time that has happened in NHL history!
