The Buffalo Sabres visited the Edmonton Oilers last night, as both teams came into the matchup with a 1-1-0 record.
Early in the second, with his team leading 2-1, Sabres defenseman Ilya Lyubushkin caught Oilers rookie Dylan Holloway with an early candidate for ''Hit of the Year'' with a massive open-ice body check.
Watch it below:
It appeared to be a perfectly clean hit, but Holloway left the game and did not return; hopefully, he's okay because that was a big collision between two big guys.
