The Boston Bruins powerplay is currently in a stretch where it hasn't scored on its last 36 attempts.

The record for the longest powerplay drought is held by the Toronto Maple Leafs, who once went on a 0 for 51 stretch. The Bruins are still far from the record, but it's still an area they need to figure out for playoffs.

Taylor Hall commented on the powerplay after last night's win:

"That first powerplay of the game, you want to be sharp, and I just don't think we have the confidence right now to be that way. We need maybe a couple of practice days to get our game in order. It's all five of us on that unit that need to help each other out, and you're going to go through that in spurts throughout the season, so that's a real focal point that I'm sure we'll work on before playoffs."

Hall seems confident that the Bruins can get the powerplay going again, especially with David Pastrnak back to full health. Boston has too many skilled guys to keep the drought going, particularly on the first unit.
