Trent Frederic of the Boston Bruins isn't known for being an offensive threat but more of a pest on the ice. He's not as well-known of an agitator as his teammate Brad Marchand, but he's good at getting under an opponent's skin.
Frederic took exception to a hit on Bruins' captain Patrice Bergeron early in the period by Montreal Canadiens defenseman Jeff Petry. As time was winding down in the first period, Frederic finished his hit, and as time fully expired, he took a couple of extra shots at Petry.
Frederic was given a two-minute unsportsmanlike conduct penalty on the play. It was a pretty soft call, but a call the referees felt they had to make so things wouldn't get out of hand. Frederic has been known to take some undisciplined penalties in the past, and hopefully, it isn't a problem in the postseason.
