After the Boston Bruins defeated the Montreal Canadiens 5-3 on Sunday night, head coach Bruce Cassidy spoke to the media about the game. Cassidy also spoke about the touching tribute the Canadiens held in honour of Guy Lafleur.

He first spoke about the tribute for Lafleur's life and career:

"I thought the Montreal organization did a great job of it. Obviously, Guy's a legend here, and the fans were awesome; it went on and on and rightfully so. It's nice to be a part of it, obviously a sad day in hockey, especially in Montreal but at the end of the day [it was] a great tribute for a great man and good to be part of it."

Cassidy reflected on how the rivalry between Boston and Montreal is still evident, even with the Canadiens out of the playoff picture and bigger things than hockey happening on the night:

"Another spirited game, some stuff going on early on like there usually is. Good to have Gallagher back in the mix; he always makes for a more spirited affair as well."

The Boston head coach went on the speak about the status of Taylor Hall after what looked like a head injury, Charlie McAvoy's recent offensive outburst and Erik Haula's "almost" whiffed penalty shot.
