The St. Louis Blues are in an unfamiliar situation this year, as for the first time in a while they'll be sellers at the Trade Deadline.
Most notable trade targets are Ryan O'Reilly, Ivan Barbashev and Vladimir Tarasenko. The latter who reportedly waived his no trade clause for specific potential buyers.
According to David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period , Tarasenko initially agreed to be moved this past summer.
''During the off-season, he was willing to waive his NTC to the New York Rangers, New York Islanders or New Jersey Devils if there were other teams in play, I wasn't aware of it.''
Clearly, Tarasenko has his heart set on living in or around New York, as the Rangers, Islanders and Devils appear to be his preferred destinations.
All three teams would be interesting choices for the Russian, as the Rangers and Devils have enjoyed success this season. Meanwhile, the Islanders already landed a big fish in Bo Horvat last week.
The 31-year-old has 10 goals and 19 assists in 38 games with the Blues this season.
