Brad Marchand has incredible skill and is easily a top-five winger in the NHL. What he's known mostly for is playing on the edge and getting under opponents' skin.
Marchand threw a huge hit along the boards to Columbus Blue Jacket's defenseman Andrew Peake, which led almost directly to a breakaway goal for his linemate Jake DeBrusk.
Here's the play here:
He has now been suspended eight times for a total of 28 games, and he's also been fined five times. His longest suspension was his last six games for roughing Pittsburgh Penguins goalie Tristan Jarry.
Brad Marchand is definitely a "pest," but if he doesn't go over the edge, he's one of the best players in the NHL.
