A proposed one-for-one trade has emerged involving Jeremy Swayman.

The Boston Bruins, and Jeremy Swayman seem to be getting nowhere recently with contract talks. Ever since Cam Neely took contract negotiations public, things have gotten worse.

Cam Neely stated during the Boston Bruins opening-season press conference that he would have $64 million reasons why he would be playing right now.

Cam Neely on Jeremy Swayman:

«I have $64 million reasons why I'd be playing right now.»

Later on during the day, Jeremy Swayman's agent took to social media and denied that offer was ever on the table.

On his agency's Instagram page, Jeremy Swayman's representative releases a statement

«We will take a few days to discuss where we go from here."

Since this has happened, a lot of trade rumors have started to surface, and Elliotte Friedman even stated that it is possible Jeremy Swayman requests a trade from the Boston Bruins.

A Boston Bruins insider proposed a trade on X, asking Bruins fans if they would be okay with trading Jeremy Swayman to the Anaheim Ducks straight up for Trevor Zegras.

25% of the fans said yes, and 75% of the fans said no to this proposed trade.

#NHLBruins fans and #FlyTogether fans, would you be OK with a Jeremy Swayman for Trevor Zegras (2 yrs left with a $5.7M AAV) trade straight up?

Trevor Zegras has been known to be a locker room cancer, and bringing him into the Boston Bruins organization would not be ideal. Also the Boston Bruins would be without a true starting goaltender.

If the Boston Bruins are going to trade Jeremy Swayman they need to try and find a way to bring in another solid starting goaltender.
