The Bleacher Reports Lyle Richardson proposed a monster trade which would send Linus Ullmark to the Ottawa Senators.

The trade itself isn't a major package, as Richardson proposes sending Ullmark to the Ottawa Senators at the NHL draft for Jakob Chychrun.

Ullmark, the former Vezina Trophy winner in 2022-2023 has been surrounded by trade rumors, since the deadline in March. Ullmark currently has one more year on his contract left with the Boston Bruins at $5 Million AAV.

The Bruins, if they find a way to complete a trade, could alleviate cap constraints from Ullmark's traffic.

The former Vezina Trophy winner had a solid 2023-2024 season, with a .915 SV%, 2.57 GAA, 2 SO, and a 22-10-7 record in 40 games.

The Senators are sorely missing goaltending help to push them deeper into the post-season, and Ullmark could be a fit.

While defenseman Jakob Chychrun is set to be a UFA coming July 1st, has a $4.6 Million cap hit for the 2024-2025 season.

The 26-year-old hasn't made any attempts to negotiate any extension with the Ottawa Senators, which could lead to the team moving the defenseman. If the Bruins do in fact, let Matt Grzelcyk walk as a UFA, they could afford to shore up their blueline with Chychrun.

In 2023-2024, Chychrun posted 41 Points( 14 G, 27 A) in 82 games, with 154 blocked shots with a plus/minus of -30.

This trader would solve both teams' problems, as Chychrun adds depth to the Bruin's defensive core, and Ullmark solves the Senator's net-minding needs.

It's already been reported that the Senators were interested in Ullmark and they could package picks to help sweeten the deal for the Bruins.
