The Boston Bruins drafted Fabian Lysell in the 2021 NHL Entry Level Draft with the 21st overall pick. Since being drafted by the Boston Bruins, Lysell has been developing and working on his game in the American Hockey League with the Providence Bruins.
This season Fabian Lysell has been impressive for the Providence Bruins, and has six goals with 15 assists for 21 points, which has been a pretty impressive season for the winger.
Recently Lysell has been tearing it up in the American Hockey League. In his previous five games the 21-year-old has 2 goals, five assists for seven points including a goal in the teams recent game against the Springfield Thunderbirds January 11th.
Lysell is turning out to be everything the Bruins imagined him to be, and how he has been dominating the American Hockey League this season has been a real encouraging sign for him and the organization.
He's been so impressive that he finally made his NHL debut with the Boston Bruins this year when the Bruins took on the Columbus Blue Jackets, and even played a big part in the teams first goal during the game, on his first shift of the game.
Although he did not get a point on the goal, Lysell really impressed interim head coach Joe Sacco.
Sacco stated that even though he only played one game before being sent back down to the American Hockey League, the Bruins were going to give him more opportunities with the big club.
Lysell is the Bruins top prospect, and he is finally starting to blossom into the prospect they always imagined he would.
With how Lysell is currently playing for Providence in the American Hockey League, it's only a matter of time before he gets recalled to the Boston Bruins roster.
