Boston Bruins fans are demanding Don Sweeney to make this move
Boston Bruins fans are irate, as GM Don Sweeney has yet to announce a signing of goalie Jeremy Swayman.
While the two have decided not to go to arbitration, they seem to be taking their time to sign the goalie.
It's been 17 days since the opening of free agency, and yet Swayman hasn't been inked yet. Swayman is looking to be locked down long-term.
Fans aren't happy:
In the meantime, not only do fans but the Bruins have to worry about another team offer sheeting Swayman, and stealing him away with a better offer.
Could the Bruins be locked in a negotiating battle? It seems last year the Bruins and Swayman were far apart and it'd be ashamed if it was a battle of wills between the two, of which the Bruins and fans lose the goalie that they covet the most.
It's been said due to the fact he is now the Bruins's #1 goalie, there are variables for his next contract, and comparables ranger from Thatcher Demko to Andrei Vasilevskyi.
It's a broad brush to paint his next contract with, and here's hoping the Bruins don't lowball him.
