Boston Bruins fans are not happy with Don Sweeney after this completed trade
The Empty Netters Podcast was one of who could be many Boston Bruins fans who were upset with the Linus Ullmark deal.
Which saw Ullmark sent to the Ottawa Senators, for Joonas Korpisalo, Mark Kastelic, and the 2024 1st round pick 25th overall which became Dean Letourneau.
The Empty Netters Podcast was fuming mad as a result of the deal Don Sweeney made with the Senators, as he felt they received nothing more than a bag of pucks in return for the Vezina Trophy winner.
Which of course, Letourneau could still turn out to be something of value down the road. Big power-centers are difficult to find and how often do you come across centers like Jumbo Joe? Not often enough.
While it can be debated about the utility of Joonas Korpisalo's role, in the end, it seems like Don Sweeney was caught between a rock and a hard place with the Ullmark deal.
Keep in mind, that Ullmark played 40 games with the Bruins, with a 22-10-7 record, 2.55 GAA, and a .915 save percentage in 2023-2024.
The Bruins lose a key piece in the lineup replaced by a backup, as Ullmark hopes to find a new home in Ottawa.
